Between 6 September and 19 October 2018, we consulted on our preferred route (including sub-options) for the replacement pipeline. This was our second public consultation for the Southampton to London Pipeline Project. It included 11 public consultation events.
The information presented in this consultation was informed by the feedback we received from our first consultation in spring 2018. This previous consultation focussed on a number of corridor options.
The preferred route presented at the second consultation was also informed by data collected from organisations including local councils, environmental specialists, utility companies and our own engineering and environmental studies. It provided an overview of where we might seek to install the pipeline and would be subject to change following consultation and taking onboard public feedback.
The consultation information was divided into eight separate sections (A to H). See below.
Further details regarding the consultation can be found in our document library.
An independent company is now reviewing and analysing the consultation responses. This consultation specialist company will produce a report on the views shared by respondents, highlighting any issues and concerns. This report, along with other information, will help inform and validate selections along the route.
The consultation report will be published on our website and we will notify respondents when it is available.
